Shak-Bafi is a domestic and traditional type of embroidery style that is known as one of the souvenirs of Iran’s Hormozgan Province.
This ribbon that is weaved mostly by women in the rural areas is used to decorate the headband, veils, sleeves, wedding tablecloths, the edge of the traditional skirts and the collar of women's clothing.
It is a narrow ribbon woven in golden and silver metallic colors called ‘Khos’. It is referred to as ‘Shak’.
The knitting process is very easy and the ribbon is carried out on the cushion made for this purpose.
